With the Covid-19 Pandemic curbing my ability to take my usual walks, I have spent the last few months really exploring my local area.
Whilst pounding suburban streets and parks isn't really my idea of a great walk, I've been making sure I focus on the beauty and views that are available to me.
I'm fortunate too to live in an area with a terrific network of interconnected wetlands and pathways, that allow me to take some fairly lengthy, circular routes.
This has ranged from looking down to notice all the small flowers and wildlife, to looking up at the beautiful skies and appreciating clouds, sunrises and sunsets.
From warm days to frosty mornings I've certainly gained a new perspective on and appreciation for my local area. One that, had the pandemic not happened, I may never have had.
It's wonderful to know that such sights are so close at hand - all you have to do is look!

Very nice examples. I like the ‘skyscapes’ particularly, but focussing on the detail can be rewarding too.
